This audio essay, "Isolation and Non-places in the City," presents an audio piece exploring how transient places—or non-places as Marc Augé defines them—might feel like in the context of a city. Of course, everyone experiences these spaces differently, and that's the point! This audio piece captures the essence of how these spaces may be perceived in the urban landscape.

I try to describe the mental image of a space first, gradually revealing the auditory ambience and then trying to find links with concepts and definitions from anthropologists and psychologists who have done influential work in the field of socio-spatial studies.
